Ingredients:
½ kilo boneless chicken thigh, cut into 1-inch pieces
½ sachet (8g) MAGGI® Magic Sarap®
3 tbsp (130ml) MAGGI® Savor Chilimansi
2 tbsp vinegar
2 stalks lemongrass (tanglad), sliced
1 tbsp minced ginger
4 cloves garlic, crushed
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp annatto seeds (atsuete)
3 tbsp vegetable oil
½ cup spiced vinegar (for basting or dipping)
Cooking Inasal in 4 Easy Steps
- Marinade: Sa isang bowl, pagsamahin ang MAGGI® Savor Chilimansi, vinegar, ginger, garlic, lemongrass, pepper, at MAGGI® Magic Sarap®. Add the chicken and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour—pero kung overnight, mas fiesta ang lasa.
- Gumwa ng atsuete: In a small pan, combine annatto seeds and oil. Heat gently until the oil turns red-orange. Strain and set aside.
- Lutuin ang manok: Grill over charcoal (best for that authentic smoky flavor) or on a grill pan. While cooking, baste regularly with the atsuete oil for that signature inasal look and shine.
