Through comprehensive training for farmers and labourers, Nestlé Fruita Vitals has sparked a ripple effect of positive change. The skills acquired in fruit handling practices such as picking, sorting, grading, and loading have improved productivity and instilled a sense of pride among the workers. They've transformed from mere labourers into skilled artisans contributing to the creation of a high-quality product. Through this farmers have also been able to integrate, Drip Irrigation and Smart Soil Moisture Sensors, into their practices which has allowed for greater conservation of water and better yield production.
One shining example is Mir Fawad Talpur, a local farmer from Hyderabad, who spoke on the benefits such collaboration has brought him and his yield. He stated that, “With Nestlé’s support, we’ve installed this drip irrigation. This has resulted in a lot of water savings, and improvement in our crop yield.”
The impact of these initiatives resonates deeply within the communities. Families see a brighter future as their financial stability improves. Children grow up witnessing the value of hard work, skill, and dedication. The entire community thrives, fostering a spirit of unity and mutual support.
