Creamy Ube Pocket Pie

Combine all purpose flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter and combine until mixed well. Add in eggs and cold water and mix well to form a dough. Wrap with plastic wrap and set aside. (10 mins)

For the filling, simmer purple yam until very tender. Set aside to cool completely. (30 mins)

Finely grate purple yam and place in pan. Add butter, NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream, NESTLÉ® Carnation® Condensada, evaporated milk and vanilla extract and cooked until thick. Set aside to cool. (20 mins)

Preheat oven at 325ᴼF. (20 mins)

Flattened dough using a rolling pin. Cut with a 5-inch round cutter, put filling inside, fold and seal. Brush with egg wash and bake for 10 – 15 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly before serving. (40 mins)
