Creamy Chocolate Minimalist Cake

Pre- heat oven to 320F. (2 mins)

Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl. (2 mins)

In a separate bowl, mix egg yolks, corn syrup, NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream, water and vegetable oil until well combined. (3 mins)

Stir in wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Mix well until smooth. (2 mins)

Whisk egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually whisk in sugar and whip until stiff peaks. (10 mins)

Grease an 8-inch cake pan with butter and line with parchment paper. Pour cake batter on the pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle of the cake. (35 mins)

Remove cake from the oven and set aside to cool down completely. (1 hr)

Whisk butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream and powdered sugar. Whisk until light and fluffy. (10 mins)

Remove cake from the pan. Cut cake into 2 pieces crosswise. Spread filling and frosting evenly to assemble the cake. Refrigerate overnight before serving. (10 mins)
