We’ve all been there – excited to whip up some serious, yummy magic but then quickly realize one thing: “That’s going to take a lot of cleanups after.” Well, don’t let the dirty dishes stop you from serving fun, nutritious meals packed with flavor! The secret? One-pan wonders that aren’t just easy to cook but are also easy to clean. This way, you can focus more on enjoying mealtime and less on the stress of chores. 

So, put on your aprons and bring out your trusty, favorite pan. Here are five one-pan recipe meals you can try out!

Pork and Tokwa Bola-bola

Recreate the classic meatballs with a fun, Filipino twist. Add tofu to the mix for a budget-friendly alternative and sneak in some vegetables for a nutritious meal your kids will surely love!

 

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 kg Fresh Grounded Pork
  • 1/2 kg Tofu
  • 2 sachets MAGGI® Magic Sarap® 8g
  • 1 pc Egg
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 pc Onion
  • 1 pc Carrot
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Spring Onion

 

Steps:

  1. In a bowl, mix ground pork with tokwa and egg. Season with 1 sachet of MAGGI® Magic Sarap®. Shape into 1-tbsp meatballs and set aside.
  2. In a pan, sauté meatballs in oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Using the same pan, sauté garlic, onion and carrot. Pour water and bring to simmer. Season with remaining sachet of MAGGI® Magic Sarap®.
  4. Stir the cornstarch into the water mixture to thicken the sauce. Add back sautéed meatballs and simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Top with spring onion and transfer into a serving bowl and enjoy!
Chicken Afritada

What you’ll need: 

  • 1/2 kg Chicken Meat
  • 1 sachet MAGGI® Magic Sarap® 8g
  • 1 pc Potato
  • 1 pc Carrot
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 pc Onion
  • 1 pc Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 pc Green Bell Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 pc Bay Leaf
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil 

 

Steps: 

  1. In a pan, sauté the potato and carrot in oil until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with 1 sachet of MAGGI® Magic Sarap®. Sauté chicken in the same pan, remove and set aside.
  3. Using the same pan (for the third time!), sauté garlic, onion and bell peppers. Pour tomato sauce and water. Add back the chicken, potato, carrot and bay leaf. Let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Season with the remaining sachet of MAGGI® Magic Sarap®, pepper and sugar to taste. Transfer on a serving plate and dig in!

What you’ll need: 

  • 1/2 kg Fresh Ground Beef
  • 2 sachets MAGGI® Magic Sarap® 8g
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Green Peas
  • 1 pc Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 pc Potato
  • 1 pc Carrot
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 1 pc Onion
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 pc Bay Leaf
  • 200 g Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Water 

 

Steps: 

  1. In a pan, sauté garlic and onion in vegetable oil. Add beef and bell pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes.
  2. Then, add potato, carrot and green peas. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Season with MAGGI® Magic Sarap®, pepper and sugar. Add bay leaf, tomato sauce and water. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes. Transfer on a serving plate and take a bite! 
Sinigang na Isda sa Miso

Looking for a delightful kick of tang? Sinigang na isda’s definitely for you! Add miso paste to elevate the sour-and-savory flavor of this popular Filipino comfort food that dates to the pre-colonial era.

 

What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 kg Cleaned Maya-Maya Steaks
  • 1 sachet Maggi® Magic Sinigang Original Sampalok Mix 25g
  • 1 pc Siling Panigang
  • 1/2 cup Miso
  • 1 bunch Mustasa, rinsed, drained and cut into pieces
    2 tbsp Vegetable Oil​
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Crushed
  • 2 pcs Thumb-Sized Ginger, Cut Into Strips
  • 1 pc Onion, Quartered
  • 2 pcs Tomatoes, Quartered
  • 5 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar​
  • 1 tbsp Fish Sauce (Optional)

 

Steps:

  1. In a pan, sauté garlic, ginger, onion, tomato, siling panigang and miso in oil. Pour water and simmer.
  2. Pour MAGGI Magic Sinigang® Original Sampalok Mix, fish sauce and sugar. Mix and dissolve well. Add maya-maya and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the mustasa. Cook for 5 more minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve immediately.

Originally a way for farmers to use leftover vegetables, the dish has since evolved, with various regions incorporating their own twists. What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup Pork Belly
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 sachet MAGGI® Magic Sarap® 8g
  • 2 tbsp Bagoong Alamang
  • 1 cup Kalabasa
  • 1 pc Ampalaya
  • 4 pcs Okra
  • 4 pcs Sitaw
  • 1 pc Eggplant
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 pc Onion

 

Steps:

  1. In a pan, sauté garlic, onion, pork belly and bagoong in oil.
  2. Pour coconut milk and simmer. Add kalabasa, ampalaya, okra, sitaw and eggplant in 2 minute-intervals. Cover the pan and cook for 5 more minutes.
  3. Season with MAGGI® Magic Sarap®. Transfer on a serving plate and enjoy!
